ECW Meeting “Rocks of Ages”

The may gathering of the St Francis ECW was delightfully entertained by an inspiring presentation by our resident gemologist and former science teacher, Barbara Drori.
While the ECW members painted inspirational rocks to scatter around the grounds, Barbara took us back to the beginnings of our religion, with actual samples of rocks and minerals and visuals from Jerusalem and Eilat. She had a reproduction of Aarons Breastplate and explained the corresponding gemstones and minerals that represent each of the twelve tribes.
It proved to be a fun and educational event, bringing to life the settings of many of our beloved Bible stories and uniting us in our faith in a novel and exciting way.
