Panera Bread has selected Saint Francis Episcopal Church as a partner in their “Dough-Nation” program. Very shortly, we’ll be picking up unsold  baked goods on Wednesday evening, just in time for our Thursday morning Food Pantry. This is an exciting partnership  and one that is not extended to everyone. Adding freshily baked, top-line baked goods to our  effort will show our friends they matter, and add one more element toward us fulfilling Christ’s words, when he told Peter (and all of us) to “Feed my sheep” (John 21:17). It wouldn’t hurt us to show our appreciation by stopping by the Panera Bread on Lynnhaven Parkway (near Lynnhaven Mall) from time to time. Tell them you’re part of the Dough-Nation program and that we appreciate their partnership.
